Is there a better father to son phrase than I am proud of you,well renowned former sports administrator Kitso Kemoeng has applauded Botswana Tertiary Education Student Sports Association(BOTESSA) for recognizing the best performers through FNBB BOTESSA Awards.
The annual awards which was the second of its kind by BOTESSA was hosted this past weekend at Baisago Convention Center.
Kitso Kemoeng recognized the cordial relationship between BOTESSA and FNBB as a valuable one considering the nature of the relationship.
KITSO KEMOENG PRAISED FNB AND BOTESSA
When addressing the attendees of the awards ceremony,Kitso Kemoeng congratulated BOTESSA for organized and smooth hosting of the tertiary sports awards ceremony.
“I should congratulate BOTESSA through its President Mr Keorapetse Setlhare for embarking on this auspicious road where excellence is going to be recognized, honored and rewarded,echoed Kemoeng.”
The former administrator also urged BOTESSA to protect its relationship with BOTESSA at all costs.
Moreover,Kitso Kemoeng commended FNBB for its Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) policies which make it stand out from the rest.The CSR also comes in handy for BOTESSA.
“My word of congratulations to BOTESSA shall never be enough without an even bigger word to FNB Botswana who continue to make a statement as a caring and most user friendly bank in Botswana. I am advised that FNBB is BOTESSA’s main sponsor with footprints throughout all BOTESSA activities, including those that are geared towards unearthing talent. It is therefore only in order for me to issue my personal word of gratitude towards the Bank’s continued commitment to sports development and advancement in the country,emphasized Kemoeng.”
For his part,BOTESSA President Keorapetse Setlhare appreciated FNBB for its continued support on tertiary sports.He lamented that the awards creates a legacy for the partnership and university sport as a whole.
“Let me take this opportunity to thank our main sponsor FNB Botswana for their continued support by investing in BOTESSA to organize many activities, I am very confident that this 2nd annual awards will leave a long lasting impression,said Keorapetse.”
Keorapetse narrated to the guests that as BOTESSA they have had a productive and fruitful years of recent.
“2019 has proven to be a defining moment in BOTESSA history, It is a landmark year for us to have positively influenced the next generation of leaders of the society through the university sports experience,alluded Setlhare.”
FNBB Acting Marketing Director Boga Chilende Masebu emphasized their support to BOTESSA as being inline with their CSR.
“With this partnership, we are saying here is a small contribution from FNB to help nurture, grow and develop our local sports men and women at tertiary level, all of which are youth,said Masembu.”
The inception of the FNBB BOTESSA awards was in February 2019 following a P3 million sponsorship by FNBB in 2018 .
