​TOUGH RESULTS FOR BOTSWANA JUDO AT AUSC REGION 5

GABORONE:In the just ended Judo Region 5 Youth competitions, which where held in Ditshupo hall for the past two days  Botswana has come out with a bit poor results in most of the categories which the host nation  took part in.

The leading country being Angola with three gold medals in the teams competition, male category 55kg, female category 48kg, one bronze in the female category and another one in the male category.

The host Botswana has come out with zero gold medals, one silver medal  and two bronze medals.

The two bronze medals are from the teams competition the other coming from the male category 55kg came from Tumiso Phutego , the only silver medal is from the female category 48kg by Mabaka Lucky.

In overall team competition the host are o third while the last editions host Angola leads the pack followed by Zambia in second and Mozambique and South Africa in fourth and firth respectively.

With Judo concluded the limelight shifts to other sporting codes such as boxing on the 10th and advanced stages in football.
