BOTSWANA VOLLEYBALL WINS FIRST GOLD REGION 5 GAMES

GABORONE:Since the games started on the sixth of December Botswana has been very unfortunate in every sporting event ending with zero gold medals at the ongoing Region 5 games.

Today at the Ditshupo hall the story changed as the male volleyball team scooped the first ever gold medal. In all the nine sporting codes it has been nothing but sad news after another the local team loosing in almost every game.

The boys won their first game against Lesotho in a set of 3-0,following another victory against South Africa in a set of 3-1 and their last game against Namibia at  3-1.

The boys have not lost any game since day one and it’s all thanks to their coach’s hard work Mr Odirile Sibanda.

Botswana ended the competitions in the first position with nine points to scope gold, followed by South Africa with six points settling for silver and sitting on the third position with a bronze is team Namibia.

The males volleyball games ended today with big smiles on Batswana and now the victory awaits the ladies team which the games are still on going at Ditshupo hall. ​
