Major David Bright and Botswana football senior national team has traveled to Mauritania for the 2019 AFCON qualifiers group I match day five.
The zebras pulled their usual 23 man squad that will go find its first goal of the qualifiers after failing to do so in their last four games and only managed one point and sits at the bottom of the log.
“We are under pressure to win the game” Bright said.
Although they are already eliminated from finding the spot at the AFCON 2019 Cameroon after teams were increased from 16 to 24 and two teams were to progress in each group.
Major David Bright believes they are still competing and have to collect maximum points to as it will help improve the boy’s confidence.
Makgantai travelled with the team after he failed the last time to go with them to Burkina Faso after his passport conflict, with the help of him and other players like Kgaswane and Ramoraka the team has hope that they will return with three points.Angola and Burkina Faso will fight for three points to try and qualify after they accumulated six and seven points respectively.

On other big games on the AFCON qualifiers, group E has fixture Nigeria and South Africa at the FNB stadium to renew their rivalry after South Africa managed to collect three points from Naija boys in their first encounter and it was their only defeat so far.

Bafana Bafana are yet to concede a goal and it’s something that Nigeria has put their focus on with their star-studded squad that plies their trade in Europe like Spain and England, players like Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi and Ighalo are confident enough that they will collect maximum points after they were also promised $25 000 as incentive bonus for every goal they score.

While Bafana will put their hopes on likes of Percy Tau, Lebogang Modiba, Itumeleng Khune and the introduction of Thulani Serero will add some cream to the squad and inspire them to victory.

Stuart Baxter is confident enough that Nigeria will not intimidate his boys as they are well focused and prepared to try and qualify on this Nigerian game.

Nigeria is at the summit of the log with nine points while South Africa are second with only eight points.

The Zebras game will be played far away from home tomorrow at 5pm while the Bafana Bafana game and Nigeria will play in FNB stadium at 3pm.
