Once beaten, twice shy! These are the words that are supposed to be whispered into Township Rollers ears ahead of the final of the Mascom Top 8 season 9 to be hosted on the 7th of March 2020 at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium formerly known as Francistown Sports Complex.

After a long struggle in booking a place in the final, the two teams find themselves pitted together again as if it is fate.

The first time the two teams met in the Mascom Top 8 final was 2016, during the season 5 of the prestigious competition where The Ostriches came up unexpectedly victorious over the then on fire Rollers, they won 3-1.

The two teams met again in 2017 season 7, Rollers overcame them 4-1.

” The most important thing is we stuck to the task , we showed the resilience we needed to get the job done and we got to go to the final, said Frank Nutall.”

On the other hand Mogomotsi “Teenage” Mpote who is over the moon with his victory over Jwaneng Galaxy at Itekeng Stadium in Orapa after a 1-0 win said, ” Any team can come, either BDF XI or Rollers I am ready for it. So bring it on so that we can have a thunderous final that will make history.”

Man of the match for Orapa and Galaxy clash Onkemetse Powe was also joyous and short of words at post match interview. He said that he wants to play against Rollers.

The final is expected to be fireworks as the two teams owe each other blood for blood.

Non of the teams has ever won consecutively in the finals when facing each other.
