GABORONE UNITED IS ON FIRE FOR THE 2021/22 SEASON

Following the resumption of the local footballing season of 2021/22 by Botswana Football League(BFL),Gaborone United(GU) are miles ahead in terms of competing for league honors.

GU,the money machine as affectionately called gunned down the Peleng giants Extension Gunners with a three goals to nil win yesterday,a few days after hammering Mahalapye Railways Highlanders after opening their campaign with a one nil win over Sua Flamingos.

First things first,GU had a great pre-season.Following the indefinite suspension of football activities in March 2020 in Botswana due COVID-19 scare,Botswana footballers have been rusty for competitive gaming for the longest time in history.As for The Money Machine,the team has been better organized to slowly get the player in shape throughout the anticipation of the return of football more than any other teams.Moreover,the team has had a number of games as preparation to the new calendar of football.

The team has quality players to compete against the best.The other notable element that suggests GU as favorites is the quality of their squad.You got to be impressed by the big names that are on their books,your Goitseone Phoko,Thato Kebue,Lebogang Ditsile,Kekaetswe Mara Moloi,Joel Mogorosi and Obonwe Maome just to mention a few.In my view,the squad is crazy scary,the league and other local competitions are for GU to lose.

Administratively speaking,the team is professionally organized.Recently, management of the team introduced ladies kit cut,a welcomed initiative by many in an effort to commercialize the beautiful game.From my perspective,the team is among the best run team and it should surely show growth in profits and results.

Last but not least,The Ditakaneng outfit is actively involved in public relations and media practices which sets it miles ahead from the rest of local football clubs.I believe that before you win games in the playing grounds,you should win the games from the boardroom through the power of PR and media.And yes,GU is winning as they recently hired professionals in the noble professions which will skyrocket the teams effort in PR.
