DOUBLE ACTION LADIES WIN BRONZE AT COSAFA 2022
Botswana`s representative at the 2022 Hollywood Bets COSAFA Championship League and winners of the inaugural DTCB Top 8 Women’s Championship Tournament, Double Action Ladies made a remarkable appearance at the 2022 COSAFA winning a bronze medal.

The Gaborone region giants finished in 2nd position of the group which had Costa Do Sol of Mozambique and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South Africa, they had four points with Sundowns, and only goal difference could separate the two sides, with Sundowns having scored more goals in their opening game against Costa Do Sol.
“The Blue Stripes”, as they usually call themselves played to a one all draw in their first game against group leaders and defending champions Sundowns before they went on to defeat Costa Do Sol by two goals to zero and ending the group games without a loss.
Double Action ended the group games in position two, on equal points with Sundowns, with Sundowns having claimed the first position with a higher goal difference. Double Action went on to play for the 3rd position at the tournament against Olympic De Moroni which finished 2nd in their group while Sundowns played finals with Green Buffaloes.
Goals from Oteng Bonang and Gaonyadiwe “Neymar” Ontlametse saw The Blue Stripes seizing through their opponents Costa and winning themselves a bronze at the tournament. Green Buffaloes also defeated Sundowns at penalties to win the tournament after a goalless draw in 90 minutes and extra time.
Double Action Ladies played three games at the tournament, won two, drew one, lost none, scored six goals, conceded one goal, and with their top goal scorer being Oratile Shocks Rathari with two goals. Lesego Radiakanyo ended up with two players of the match awards, the most won by a single player at the tournament.
The squad which was led by former Masitaoka Fc and Mogoditshane Fighters head coach Nelson Olebile consisted of Lesego Radiakanyo, Balotlhanyi Johannes, Bame Mokime, Boitumelo Lucia Gammu, Laone Phenyoyaone Moloi, Gaonyadiwe Ontlametse, Kgomotso Molefe, Veronicah Mogotsi, Bonolo Leoba, Ontibile Lepono, Tebo Rankonyana, Obonetse Oratile Rathari, Tumelo Realeboga Tiro, Larona Ntshontsho, Oteng Bonang, Desiree Kenyaditswe, Maduo Onnetse Radijeng, Kesego Mathatsa, and Keolebogile Lekobamotse.
The tournament was held in South Africa, from the 7th to the 13th of August 2022. It featured six teams from six Southern African nations and was divided into two groups of three teams each group with the winners in each group automatically qualifying for the final, and runners up in both groups battling it out for the bronze medal.
Double Action ladies were featured in group A to face Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies (South Africa) and Costa Do Sol (Mozambique), while group B consisted of Green Buffaloes (Zambia), Young Buffaloes, and Olympic De Moroni.
