BTTA LAUNCHES P70 000 PHOENIX BOTSWANA SPONSOR

Botswana Table Tennis Association (BTTA) historically launched P70 000, National Championship sponsor, this morning at Crystal Paradise.

- Phoenix Chief says they intend to help transform youth through sports.
The big money sponsorship from Phoenix Assurance Group is specifically for the much anticipated Independence Day Grand Final(National Championship).
SPONSORSHIP INCLUDES PHOENIX LIFE-CHANGING AWARD
The sponsorship includes P50 000 Phoenix Life-Changing Awards for both men and women categories.
The winner in both sections walks away with P6 000.00. Runners up, semi-finalists, and quarters finalists walk home with P3000.00, P1 600, and P700 respectively.
Furthermore, Phoenix Botswana has included P50 000 as Phoenix Life-Changing Price Award of P25 000 for both male and female sections.
BTTA IS GRATEFUL FOR PHENIX BOTSWANA KINDNESS
In BTTA statement President Motswagole Kudzanani said;
“We are very much delighted to receive such a humble gesture from one of the leading insurance companies in the country. We would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to Phoenix’s for their support to sponsor BTTA in all our competitions in the calendar year.”
He added that the Independence Grand Finale prize money announced by Phoenix will be a life-changing one for the winners. BTTA believes that the Phoenix Assurance economic support to the table tennis sports in the country will bring more professionalism into the game and improve the lives of our athletes

PHOENIX BOTSWANA AIMS TO CONTRIBUTE TO YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
For his part, Phoenix Botswana Chief Executive Officer Carlson Chiswo noted that BTTA sponsorship is their contribution to youth.
“The new sponsorship is part of Phoenix s ongoing commitment to sports development in Botswana and this is in line with the company’s strategy to participate in the development of youth and communities in the country, he added.”
Moreover, Chiswo said they intend to help transform youth through sports.
“Sports are critical to community development. It impacts the social wellbeing of communities and creates a sense of purpose among youth. Sports create a sense of worth and transform an individual. The competitive nature of the games reinforces the sense of hard work and teamwork which are keys to success, said Chiswo.”
The Independence Grand Finale tournament will be hosted from the 30th of September to the 1st of October.
