BOTSWANA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES BONNITA CUP

Botswana Football Association(BFA) today launched youth league Bonnita Cup sponsorship powered by Lactalis Botswana.
The youth cup is part of BFA’s initiative for developing football at the grass-root level in Botswana.

BOTSWANA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION PARTNERSHIP WITH LACTALIS IS FOR DEVELOPMENT
Speaking during the Bonnita Cup launch, The CEO of Botswana Football Association, Mfolo Mfolo told the media that BFA is partnering with Lactalis Botswana for a youth development program.
“It is very important to invest in the youth, youth are diamonds of today and tomorrow and for future use, said Mfolo.”
BONITTA CUP WILL HELP IN COMPETITIVE LOCAL FOOTBALL
Given the opportunity to speak, the BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti revealed that youth development is their core program as the association. He highlighted that youth development determines the success or future of football in any country.
“For a strong national team and competitive premier league, you must have a robust youth development, Letshwiti said.“
LACTALIS BOTSWANA CONTRIBUTES TO CHILD DEVELOPMENT THROUGH BONNITA CUP
On her part, the Country Manager of Lactalis Botswana, Premie Moipolai said that they would like to be a big driver in the growth of the country’s future stars by fulfilling Botswana Football Association’s initiatives in nurturing and growing football stars as they aspire for the national teams.
She further revealed that the effort of Bonnita Cup is to aid in improving child development, learning skills, goal setting, and achievements as well as finding an alternative way of promoting a safe lifestyle for the kids and avoiding crime and social ills.
“We are true believers in driving these life lessons by teaching young people about fair play, tolerance, inclusion, and respect highlighted Lactalis Botswana Country Manager.”
BONITTA CUP AVAILS OPPORTUNITIES FOR TALENTED YOUTH
For his part, the President of Botswana National Olympic Committee(BNOC), Botsang Tshenyego said the youth will have more opportunity to showcase their talent and hope to attract the attention of talent scouts both locally and internationally.
Lactalis Botswana sponsors the Bonitta Cup with the amount of P800 000 for two years duration covering under 12, 15, and 17 youth leagues for both boys and girls.
