BY:Tirelo Mosielele

Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) launched and signed the contract of agreement for the broadcasting rights for the volleyball activities on what could be a turning point for the sport code landscape in the country and beyond with Baboneng Film Productions onboard.

Speaking at the event, Baboneng CEO, Kesebonye Seabelo stated that

” our mandate is to give platform to other sporting codes that are not enjoying much desirable coverage as all codes rely on the state media which is already congested”.

He also highlighted that this could even benefit the teams and the association at large as it can generate them some revenue that will be of handy to them.

“this partnership will be of a great for our both parties even financially and also it could help the association to attract more sponsors abroad as there will be better mileage because television is a strong media and portrays message better”.

BVF President Daniel Molaodi said as he could not hide his excitement for the new adventures. He also highlighted that this marriage will benefit teams and players in terms of exposure around the country and outside as the volleyball games and activities are bound to be broadcast on Maru Sports which airs on DSTV that will be available all over the continent in two months.
