COSAFA UNDER 20 TEAM OFF TO ZAMBIA

GABORONE:First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) and Botswana Football Association(BFA)cordially this afternoon hosted a send-off ceremony for the Under-20 national team, which will take part at Zambia COSAFA Cup.
The team is pitted in COSAFA Under 20 209 Group A with hosts Zambia, Malawi and Comoros.The tournament will ignite on December 4 and conclude on December 14.
Speaking at the ceremony ,FNBB Director of Marketing and Communications Peo Kologo announced at the ceremony that their mandate is to power the development sides to give them a platform to excel through 3 million Pula 3 years sponsorship which began in 2018.
She said the FNBB takes care of all junior teams in gears, wages,camping,allowances and administrative costs.
Kologo futher lamented that as FNBB board they believe in youth and they believe that success can also come from extra curriculum activities.
“Success does not only come from the boardrooms,but success can come from anywhere especially from ones extra curriculum activities,we choose to go with football from this country and partnered with BFA,alluded Kologo.”
ZEBRAS COSAFA UNDER 20 NEEDS SUPPORT-PAUL
When announcing his squad at the COSAFA U20 sendoff ceremony the team mentor Pio Paul emphasized that his team is made of young talented players whom are looking to gain experience and exposure at the tournament.
Paul said he is in the building processes to feed a national team and he is happy with the teams preparations.
The team will depart for Zambia this Sunday and play their first game against the hosts Zambia on Wednesday.
