YAROS OLYMPIC CLUB DREAMS BIG

GABORONE:Yaros Olympic Club officially launched its Volleyball team envisioning it to change the landscape of Botswana sport at Avani Hotel on Thursday 23 August 2018.

By the nature of being a multi sport club Yaros is in the process of starting a the first baseball club in Botswana and the first few in Africa.

The name Yaros is retrived from the owners initials Odirile Sibanda and his wife’s full names.

The club was established in 2015  far North at Maun envisioned to change the landscape of Botswana sport as its  mission is to provide comprehensive training and sports development to youth to excel all round.

The club says that says that they dream of having atleast one athlete at the upcoming Olympics. Yaros has already made its debut in 2017 Mascom Volleyball League.

Making his presentation,the Co founder of Yaros announced that he is an ambitious man.

“its a big objective,for me I always try to think big,so that when I slip I will fall between the earth and cloud”said Sibanda.

Sibanda says that the plans are also in the roll out to contract its players.

For her part,Lopang Mokgaleng of Mickey Tours,the solo sponsor of Yaros Olympic Club says that they pride themselves as transport solution post  millennium and they are always happy to assist where they can to empower  communities through sports,and Yaros Club is the perfect partnership for them being magnated by its mission and visions.

The Vice President technical of Botswana Volleyball Federation Sibanda alluded for efforts in the development and growth of the sport of Volleyball in Botswana in his closing remarks.

Yaros already has a Volleyball and Athletics Clubs in its branches and plans to start a softball/baseball team in Botswana.
