TSIETSI KEBUALEMANG QUITS PBAB AFTER 52 YEARS OF BOXING SERVICE

Professional Boxing Association Botswana (PBAB) President Tsietsi Kebualemang has announced at PBAB Special General Meeting yesterday that he is quitting from active boxing administration after more than half a century of service to the sport.
Tsietsi Kebualemang broke the news to affiliates in attendance of the meeting meant map the way forward ahead of PBAP new executive committee elections .
The veteran administrator Tsietsi Kebualemang notified PBAP members that he will not be standing for elections as he believes it is time he calls it quits for the sports.
“On a sad note ladies and gentlemen let me officially announce that i will not be standing for elections nor be a member of this organization(PBAP),my journey in the administration of sport of boxing will eventually end on October 2020 at the Annual General Meeting,addressed Kebualemang.”

BOND BOXING THANKS TSIETSI KEBUALEMANG FOR SERVANT HOOD

When responding to the Presidential address,Bond Boxing Promotions boss Bond Ngulula has thanked and appreciated Tsietsi Kebualemang`s service to the sport.
Ngulula has noted that he has grown up to be a promoter he is under the tutelage of the outgoing President.
“Thank you for selflessly serving boxing,we joined boxing as young men and now as grown men you are still here,thank you Sir,stated Ngulula.”
Bond Ngulula has praised Shakes as fondly known in the squared circle business as a passionate boxing enthusiastic who has never missed any professional boxing event locally amid busy livelihood.

THUSO KHUBANG PLEADS WITH SHAKES TO STAND AGAIN

Thuso Khubamang of Scud Missile Promotions has pleaded with Tsietsi Kebualemang to not quit just yet,but rather stand again.
The outspoken boxing promoter-cum-politician has pointed out that Tsietsi Kebualemang has come far to quit just yet.He has advised that if there is anything the President is unhappy about,he must say and affiliates amend whatever wrongdoing towards the PBAB head.

“We plead with you Sir to not quit,we need your guidance and experience,if someone has offended you let it be known so that wrongdoing is corrected,commented Khubamang.”

The outgoing PBAB President has in the past been heavily criticized for maladministration where the association failed to progress in leadership.

PBAB SET TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION TO ACCOMMODATE SHAKES

When responding to the reactions from the floor,PBAB Vice President Seroba Binda has proposed to the affiliates that Shakes is not all lost in boxing family.
Seroba Binda stressed out that rather constitutional amendment is in motion to cater for his expertise.
Moreover,Tsietsi Kebualemang who reportedly has been offered roles at other professional African Boxing authorities argued that he has already mad up his mind.
Of interest,Shakes believes he needs to be part of pro boxing locally in order for Botswana to benefit from these professional African Boxing organisations.

PBAD PRESIDENT TSIETSI KEBUALEMANG IS A HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE

PBAD President Shakes 52 year old boxing career has been recognized by BNSC.The outgoing PBAB President started off as a boxer in 1968.
Upon retirement he became a coach in 1989 and notably coaching  the national team mentoring the likes of France Mabiletsa at 1994 Commonwealth Games.
According to Mmegi Sport, Tsietsi Kebualemang the administrator managed to convince the government through the then Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) to allow boxing to compete outside the country since then boxing had no code authority.
Tsietsi Kebualemang set up the foundation for professional boxing in Botswana and victoriously his work gave birth to Thuso “Scud” Khubang as a young pro fighter among others.
Kebualemang is said to have helped set up PBAB in 2015, recognized by BNSC and Registrar of Societies (ROS) respectively.
In his last address he has advised the association to seek autonomy in order to be financially viable.
Tsietsi Kebualemang was inducted in BNSC Hall of Fame in 2019.
