GABORONE:Treasure Moremi of DTCB boxing stole the limelight from BOBA’s very own top attraction Mmusi Tswiige by setting a pool of fire in the ring which was hotter for Kefentse Molalapata to handle at the 8th inter-club tourney of the year held at University of Botswana on Saturday 9.
Treasure thrown a hat in the ring as he uncontrollably ran rampant against the amazed Molalapata from the onset to the finish. He controlled the bout with too much aggression, speed, exotic punch combos and maybe too much power as he kept his man on the ropes time and time again.Molalapata was even forced to move to the white corner for medical attention on two occasions for nose bleeding. However Molalapata rolled in with the punches besides taking too much punishment.Treasure won by unanimous decision.
In other highly entertaining bouts,Lentswe Zwinila of Glen Valley Boxing unleashed and awakened his killer instinct power punches left and right hooks and non stop uppercuts against Khumalo Chabula of TAB who was saved by the bell in the second round.
In the final round Zwinila upped the gear as he continued to keep his man on the ropes who severely was given a lifetime boxing lesson which left him with a groggy face.Zwinila won all by unanimous decision.
The sweetscience was now in experimental mode as Rajab Mohammed of Mafika boxing who was from a long layoff due to national duty took on southpaw Tefo Maitewa of TAB who was evenly balanced and relaxed to win by spilt decision.
Mmoloki Thipe of Prisons who was a bit down on the day was against Moemedi Macheng of G/ Valley whom combined Mayweather stance and Lomachenko matrix movement.Nonetheless Mmoloki sticked to the traditional boxing to win by RSC on the last round.
A star in the making Olefile Chapo of DTCB who never lost a single bout this year was a pluck as he ran rampant on a matured boxer Pako Tsalaile of SSKB winning by RSC.His teammate James Badiri made a comeback after making his man punch drunk in the second round and win by a split decision against Emmanuel Mariti of TAB.Ub’s Moemedi Rampedi won by RSC after forcing his opponent Phemelo Mphafe of BMC to kiss the canvas.
