GABORONE:Born Baboloki Thebe and G-man as affectionately known by his faithfuls has made headlines at the Gaborone International Meet after easing through the Isaac “Batman” Makwala in the famous 400m finals.
Baboloki Thebe made an impressive time of 45.34 seconds to beat to clinch gold medal while Isaac Makwala disappointing his crowd after falling to position 6 with a time of 47 seconds.
Issac Makwala is said to have not been fully fit for the track.
Silver medal went to Onkabetse Nkobolo at 45.59s, Leungo Scotch rounded the medal table in bronze with a time of 45.74s.
On the ladies side, Christine Botlogetswe showed his superiority over Galefele Moroko with a time of 52.17 while Moroko was 52.58,Namibian counterpart settled for bronze a time of 53.55s.
The likes of Karabo Mothibi and Tsaone Sebele were part of the impressive team Botswana in this competition.Thebe outclass Makwala.
