KGAMANYANE WINS ORANGE FA CUP 2019/20 PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT AWARD

Gaborone United (GU) winger Thatayaone Kgamanyane has been named as the Orange FA cup 2019/20 Player of the Tournament this past weekend at the Orange FA Cup Award Ceremony hosted at Botswana National Stadium immediately after Gaborone United`s three nil humiliation of Masitaoka FC in the final.

Kgamanyane,25 pivotial workforce has  helped  “Moyagoleele” to their seventh Orange FA cup trophy

 

KGAMANYANE CREATED MORE CHANCES

Messi as affetionately called  was the mainstay at the right-wing of GU throughout the campaign. Kgamanyane has created more chances and made more dribbles than anyone in GU. He was certainly a nightmare to defenders.

The talented left footed starplayer was able to win all the man of the match award from the quarter-finals until the final.

The Mankgodi born and raised was not the only winner on the  night,  his teammates Mara Moloi, Goitseone Phoko scooped the Top Goalscorer Award (3 goals) and  Goalkeeper Of The Tournament award respectively. His coach, Innocent Morapedi snatched the coach of the tournament award, which was worth P10 000.00.

Kgamanyane scored in the heated Semi-final clash against Jwaneng Galaxy which ended 3-0 in favor of GU, as he put the game to bed to assure The Money Machine a spot in the final.

 

Performances throughout the tournament – both individually and as part of the team – are considered when choosing the winner according to the judges. The player’s impact on his team’s performances, as well as playing with a positive attitude and with respect, are also taken into account.

Meanwhile,GU scored a total of eight goals since he participated with GU in the cup.

The star player has walked away with a cash prize of P25 000.00.
