TSHENOLO MOOKETSI SECRET TO DOMINANCE UNCOVERED
The number one ping pong sensation Tshenolo Mooketsi has this weekend navigated through the Phoenix Assurance Independence Road to Finale tournament to be crowned champion after defeating his rival Boago Malobela 3-1 in the finals hosted at BNYC Hall.
Not so long ago,Tshenolo Mooketsi won two BTTA nationals and notably AUSC Region 5 Youth games in 2018.
The blockbuster performance in 2018 earned him top rank locally and eventually cemented a spot in the national team.
Yester year,Tshenolo Mmoketsi’s fine form scarred off opponents to be crowned 2019 BTTA Independence Road to Finale National Open tournament.
Upon return to sports following the covid-19 scare this year,Tshenolo Mooketsi won two BTTA tournaments in a period of two weeks,powered by Phoniex Assurance and Stag International.
Tshenolo Mooketsi shared his secret with SPORTSNATION that he mentally prepares for the games to dominate the tournaments.
“ I am always trying at all times to be consistent and be mentally fit for all my games,stated Mooketsi.”
Moreover,Tshenolo Mooketsi stressed the significance of winning these tournaments as they boost his confidence and rank in the game.
“It’s a great honor that I maintained my rank and position.I am really happy cause I managed to win the tournament,he said.”
The ping pong star has foreshadowed to this publication that his next mission is the tournament grand finale on Independence day.He alluded that it is a life changing tournament that is ought to be won.
“And there will be a life changing award from the sponsor worth of P25 000,noted Mooketsi.”
BTTA HOSTS MULTIPLE TOURNEYS IN A YEAR
In a telephone interview with SPORTSNATION,BTTA President Kuzhani Motswagole has echoed that they intend to host as many tournaments as possible to keep the athletes busy.
Furthermore,they hold these tournaments ,”to help players financially since they come with a price,concluded Motswagole.”
The 22 year Tshenolo Mooketsi started playing table tennis in 2012 following an array of injuries from football.
