SCRAMBLE FOR POINTS IN THE BTC PREMIERSHIP SOLIDIFIES

Week 2 of the elite league kick started off this Friday with big teams like GU were still yet looking for its first point of the season after a bumpy start.
On Friday, at Itekeng stadium, the Orapa United boys reclaimed glory from Sankoyo Bush Bucks by 2-1 to make it 4points on position 5 while Sankoyo is sitting on 10th with only a point.
On Saturday we were graced by abundance of football starting with the double header at the Lobatse Sports Complex with Gaborone United commencing the show with Police XI, both teams played to a 1 all draw to hand GU its first point of the campaign and see it on position 11, however the jungle kings are on 6th with 4 points.
The second fixture of the double header followed in the evening with the home based Extention Gunners claiming position 3 with 4 points by winning 2-1 to newly promoted side BR Highlanders.
On other games of the day, the red hot Sharps Shooting Stars sent a clear message to the big boys of the league after thrashing Center Chiefs by 3-0 and maintain second spot while Chiefs are still on the bottom four with only a point.
Phillimon Makgwengwe boys Gaborone United are still struggling to find their rhythm in the elite side after back to back losses from Galaxy and now it was BDF XI by 2-1 and found themselves in bottom two and yet to get a point, while at Jwaneng it was goals galore again from log leaders Galaxy which looks determined this season after walloping Systems which is at the bottom of the log by 5-0 to make it ten goals in 2 games and yet to concede.
On the last fixture of the weekend Tse Nala boys looks to continue from last season superb performance making it to the top 4 on the log with 4 points after passing through Black Forest by 2 goals to 1 which gave Magoleng to a long walk to register a point.
Week 3 continues this on Friday (31-08-18), Security Systems face BDF XI at Molepolole Complex and in UB stadium Gaborone United take on Extention Gunners,on Saturday Sharps v. Orapa United at UB, at Jwaneng, Galaxy take on Rollers while Police XI will face Black Forest at Otse Police College and on the last fixture of the day Prisons XI will look to redeem its self against Sankoyo Bush Bucks at Maun Complex.
The fixtures continues on Sunday as BR Highlanders lock horns with Center Chiefs at Serowe Complex while at UB again Notwane will take on Miscellaneous.
Township Rollers and Notwane were not fixtured on this weekend due to the fact that Rollers are preparing for their last CAF CL game against Esperance de Tunis.The match will be played on Tuesday evening.
