With just about 11 days to the big day of the season in the season 9 of the Mascom Top 8, the two teams who will be vying for the title have been performing above par recently and scoring goals after goals.
Rollers, which had a rough patch in their league campaign earlier in the month bounced back like champions this weekend in Tonota, sending a bold message to their rivals that they are still strong after a convincing 6-0 win to advanced to the last 16 of the Orange FA Cup.
Popa will get their last test before heading to Francistown against their voodoo team for the Gaborone Derby, Gaborone United which won 3-0 first round, on a Super Sunday clash which the coach has to use it as a litmus paper to test whether they are ready for Orapa United.
The Ostriches, arguably the most in-form team at the moment, Mogomotsi Teenage Mpote built a robust and versatile team that can compete anywhere,anytime, eliminating Jwaneng Galaxy in the semi final of the Top 8 attest to that. In their last outing, they humiliated Mogoditshane Fighters 5-1.
Orapa United will have to pass by Notwane first in the league before attempting to challenge Rollers at the Mascom Top 8 final billed for March 7 at the City of Francistown.
The FA Cup is in the last 16 stages,of which Popa and the Ostriches meet will be termed a final before the final should the draw pit them together.
