Township Rollers shot-stopper, Wagarre Dikago was reported dead on the morning of November 14 due to a road traffic accident.
The 26-year-old passed on following the complications he faced from the road traffic accident he was involved in on the 26th of September just a day after his birthday.
The Serowe-born talented goal minder started playing at Green Lovers and went to Miscellaneous where he attracted the attention of the Lobatse based club, Extension Gunners which he joined from Miscellaneous.
Arriving at Extension Gunners, Dikago was the second choice of Moatlhodi Ndana.He worked hard for the first choice position up until he won it which later earned him a national team call-up.
From Extension Gunners the talented young goalkeeper continued his services at Botswana’s successful club, Township Rollers where he faced tough competition, playing as a rotational squad player.
He won the 2017- 2018 and 2018- 2019 BTC Premiership titles and the Mascom Top 8 Cup twice with Township Rollers.
Wagarre Dikago was also part of the Township Rollers squad which played the 2018 CAF Champions’ League group stages.
He last featured for Township rollers in the 1-0 win against Sowa Flamingoes on March 14 just before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down football in Botswana.
His club Rollers has announced that he will be laid to rest on Sartuday 21 2020, before his memorial service on Wednesday 18.
