The 21-year-old Oratile Rathari’s recent form in the ongoing Gaborone City Region Football Association(GCRFA) league singles out the defensive minder from the rest as a player to watch out for. Kabelo Ramokhele writes.

Technically speaking Rathari is regarded as decisive in the field in addition to ball control is one of a kind with a dose of passing skills.
The young, brilliant player has been spotted as a skillful midfielder. She makes very strong tackles in the field, dribbles forward, and makes clean, good passes. Especially long passes.
Oratile Rathari has a very good, appealing record. She scored two goals for Double Action at the 2022 COSAFA Women’s champions league and gave an assist which contributed to the third goal as the team walked away with bronze medals.
The brilliant player has played in six matches in the GACFA women’s football league in the current 2023 footballing season. The talented player has scored one goal in all matches so far. She has given four assists and has two national caps.
In an interview with the blue stripes player, she stated that she has been playing football since primary school but started playing professional football at Junior school. Oratile started playing professional football at Geronah Sporting Club and signed with Double Action three years back.
The young, talented midfielder said that she shows up for training every day and doesn’t want to be left behind. She also mentioned that she wants to see herself in far places in terms of football and believes she will go far because of her coach William Raizer Monene.
“I show up to training every day and what keeps me going is the fact that I want to see myself playing professional football outside the country and ever since I got to Double Action, my skills have really improved. All thanks to my coach.” Oratile Rathari said.
When speaking to this publication, William Raizer Monene who is Double Action’s coach, has been working with or coaching Oratile for two years now she was a bit difficult to work with at first but she eventually learned to cooperate which is helped her a lot now in terms of improving her skills.
He also mentioned that Oratile has always been very good at making clean, powerful, and long passes but she had to work on other areas or skills. Raizer says he believes that Oratile is a brilliant player and can definitely go places if she keeps on being humble and working hard.
“She is a very brilliant player, very gifted. She just has to be humble and she will go far.” Monene said.
Oratile Rathari`s goal is to play professionally in South Africa following in the footsteps of Segolame Bosija.
