ORANGE FA CUP RETURNS

GABORONE:The Orange FA Cup is back with a bang, after it has been adjourned for six years.
The first leg of the games features the Southern Block (1st and 2nd division teams) which commences this coming weekend.
Speaking during a press conference at Lekidi Football Centre yesterday, on behalf of Orange Mosarwa Molema highlighted that the tag line is simply “Kga tshoo!” #Bopha skelem. He also indicated that the games will be played through clusters like double headers.
“The mandate of this FA cup is to identify talent at grassroots and to bring football to people”. Said Mosarwa.
He also said that the lower rankings division teams will be given the opportunity to lock horns with premier league teams.Furthermore, he expressed gratitude that the tournament will boast the country’s economy, as business people will be given the opportunity to sell their products.
BFA`s Competitions Manager, Setete Phuthego lamented that they are well prepared for the FA CUP, and there will be selection of man of the match for each game.
He added that teams will be given money for away games to sustain themselves. Phuthego concluded that another draw that features premier league teams will be done immediately after the Serowe double header at Serowe Sports Complex probably live on BTV.
Some of the games will be broadcast on national television.
Week 3 will be played on the 23rd and 24th of February which features Northern Block.
The games starts at 2pm and the price ticket is P20.
