ODUETSE STAMPS AUTHORITY AT BISA BOXING

GABORONE:Boxing’s exciting prospect  Oduetse Kgomoetsego  of Shashe Senior ran rampant and unstoppable against the overly hyped  William Kruger of Tsabong Senior  at the just ended 2018 Botswana Integrated Sports Association(BISA) Boxing Finals held at Glen Valley from the 26th to 28th of July.  

Oduetse and William cemented their place in the finals of the Elite Men 49kg after winning by unanimous decisions over France Nelson of Bonwatlou Senior and Timothy Ngwenya of SPSS respectively.

In the first round of  the duo,William  had an edge over Oduetse although it was characterized by water testing, in the second round Oduetse thrown in the hat as he came in with speed of lighting with his counter punches and his hot left hook ,William who had crowd on his back wasted most of his opportunity for attacking by shinning which proved to be ineffective.

In the last round William tried infighting,nonetheless it was too late as Oduetse had other plans,kept his cool as he rolled in with the punches, continued to beat William to the punches time and time again with a couple of good combination and a great cover up to Williams Punches.

Oduetse won by split decision as he eventually gone on to win the best male boxer of the competition to stamp authority as the newly crowned King of BISA boxing.

In other existing finals,56kg division in the elite men category,Kagoetsile Raokgwathegile of Gaborone Senior won by RSC to Diane Kereemang of Mmadinare Senior.

Kagoetsile made Diane uncomfortable,heavy punches in the beginning,Diane had too much respect for him,nonetheless as the rounds come and go he lost that respect.However in the last round Kagoetsile was too much for Diane as he forced referee intervention.

Mpho Moroka of Mater Spei was on top form as he punch drunk Lebogang Moreti of Lobatse Senior in the final on two occasions to force him kiss the canvas.Mpho won by RSC in the first round.

Goitsemodimo Setemo of Shakawe Senior showed school of exella blue Festus Madiehe as he won by a split decision fair and square.

BISA had hosted the National Finals after a long tiring journey of preliminary knockouts at Zone level from South,South Central,North and North Central Zone to qualify to the finals.

All participants in the finals were entitled to a medal seeing about 312 medals given to the deserving individuals.
