(NOTWANE FC)The Holy Scriptures says, to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven, a time to mourn and a time to dance. This speaks directly to the situation in which Notwane Football Club find itself in.
The start of the season for Notwane was somewhat rough and difficult to bear any fruit for them, today the situation has completely turned around for them as they are now on a cruise.
Notwane, affectionately known as Toronto by their faithful followers was among the teams which started the league on negative six (-6) points when the 2019/2020 BTC Premiership began due to club licencing punishment.
Notwane FC went on to lose five consecutive games of the premier league and most people on the football corridors wrote them off the premier league.The form now speaks a different thing altogether because they are now on position 11 of the league with 19 points, one point from number 12 and only two points behind number 10.
Notwane FC was able to clear off the debt and go on collecting points to sit in a better position in the league. The morale is high and the hope is restored as now the supporters believe they can finish in the Top 8. The fear of relegation is all gone, even in the second edition of the Orange FA Cup they have been doing well.
On Friday Toronto continued with their fine form by eliminating the stubborn army side BDF XI 2-0 at Molepolole Sports Complex.
The arrival of Tshepo Malgas IN Notwane Fc `s squad on loan from Gaborone United have added value to them as the boy is also on form scoring every game since he landed in the Gold and black colors.
The new mentor of Notwane FC Kowa found a winning formula for the troops and the understanding of his tactics seems to be easy. The team is known for a beautiful passing game and this is what is seen in their games at the moment.
Commenting after the game with BDF XI in the quarter finals of the Orange FA Cup, Oupa Kowa said;
” I am very happy for winning this game, the boys did it, they executed the game plan to press BDF XI so that we get the maximum points which will put us through to the next round of this cup. We take every game as it is and we are ready to face any team in the quarter finals in order to reach the finals. Reaching the finals is not easy and it will not be easy, but we will not give up now because we can make it to the finals.”
The winning attitude from the coach displayed, it goes on to show the reason behind the performance produced by the team lately in both the league and the Orange FA cup.
