MMUSI TSWIIGE DEFEATED BY ARCH RIVAL LENTSWE ZWINILA

Gantsi Boxing club took upon its responsibility to welcome Botswana Boxing Association(BOBA) affiliates to host the 12th sanctioned inter club of the year by BOBA at Itekeng Junior School as BOBA’s very own top attraction Mmusi Tswiige registered his first loss in donkey days on September 1st 2018.

The 12th interclub attracted 22 bouts including 3 ladies bouts and 1 for youth.In the sole youth bout,Lentswe Lentswe won by unanimous decision against Otsile Kedidimetse.The home girl Gontse Sethibane of Gantsi Boxing won by a split decision to Maun’s Warona Kepaletswe.Gosaitse Nkepe of EMG also won by split decision against the homegirl Manjuko Laone.In the only ladies bout won by unanimous decision,Laone Lekagane took the bragging rights awy from the home team by winning against Gorata Setlabana

In the main bout,The 69kg Tswigie who is arguably the best pound for pound lost to his fierst rival,the hard hitting Lentswe Zwinila of Glen Valley Boxing club.Although the Prison’s star Tswigie, has less competition from other competitors it is well know that whenever this highly A graded bout takes center stage the bout results will go on to the cards.Not this time around,Zwinila kept his man under his guidance as he no doubt won by unanimous decision.In other interesting bouts, it is reported that
81kg bout between Oteng Bareeleng of New Xade and Bonang Kobaditse of SSKB was among the bouts supporters couldn’t miss a moment.Oteng won by unanimous decision.

In other news,BOBA managed to secure partnership with office of MP for Gantsi North to embark on 1 hour Clean Up Campaign to help keep the community clean.BOBA also visited  .

BoBA  Ghanzi District Council and ministry of youth empowerment, sport and culture development offices.BOBA PRo writes; GDC leadership expressed their delight to BoBA president and SG for boxing to continue to stage tournaments in Ghanzi territory.

The next BOBA interclub tournament will be hosted by BMC boxing club in Lobatse on the 22nd of September.
