MAGOSI UP AGAINST MAGOLENG
BY:Phodiso Khumoetsile Gaebepe
The land of the Bakwena will be visited by the two villages today in support of their respective village teams, Mochudi Centre Chiefs Fc of Mochudi will be hosting Black Forest Fc of Mmankgodi at the Molepolole sports complex. The time is 1600hrs.
It is very interesting how the beautiful game can bring three villages together and share the excitement.
It will be a Monkey versus the Baboon, these are the two totems for the two villages. Mochudi being the Monkey(Kgabo) and Mmankgodi being the Baboon (Tshwene). Theses are the two villages which are so proud of their totems. The moment you get into Mmankgodi, you will know their totem is tshwene (Baboon) without even asking anybody.
Anyway back to business. This is a game in which one will find it difficult to predict as the two teams are very unpredictable. Their form is fluctuating, the other game they will display a different character and the other game another character. In terms of squad composition, Magosi has the upper hand as they have a more experienced squad and a bit of quality. The likes of Elvis Meleka, Moses Ruzivo, Arnold Mampori, Unobatsha Mbaiwa and of course the return of the chilli one “Peri Peri” Nandos Sekhana Koko. On their day these players can bring a different game altogether to any team they face.
On the other hand, Black Forest lost a lot of their key players in the past transfer window and are still struggling to find combinations. Their team captain, Mogomotsi “Goms” Kerebotswe has been absent for the past 4 games, the midfield has been unstable with Majafi idling alone and failing to find the right partner. Upfront , Godknows Mutina’s absence is also felt as they need his power and strength up the field. They need a striker who can hold the balls for the oncoming skillfull Donald Botshoma to finish off into the net. The reason why it has been difficult for them to get goals was that most the strikers they have stay out of the box as they are not strong and can’t protect the ball .
One would think Magosi will walk away with the 3 points but hey! this is football let’s all go to Molepolole Sports Complex to watch the game and get first hand information for ourselves, have your own testimony about the game. 1600hrs is the time …see you there.
