LUKA MODRIC CROWNED THE BEST PLAYER IN EUROPE

Monaco was the place to be last night where the most decorated players of all time gathered to conclude last season with the glitz and glamour night and award those who worked hard for their respective clubs in the UEFA season competitions.
The men’s prestigious player of the year pitted Europe’s best in Muhammad Salah (Liverpool), Cristiano Ronaldo (while at Real Madrid) and world player of the year Luka Modric (Madrid) after Lionel Messi was excluded from the race.
Even though it was a tight one to call after a stellar performance from all candidates and the fact that all eyes were in the Portuguese talisman(CR7) who became the top goal scorer(about 15 goals and 3 assists in 13 matches) and a premier league come back from Mo Salah(10 goals).
Despite from all those statistics the UEFA player of the year was handed to the recent 2018 world cup silver medalist Luka Modric who is in the form of his life.In other accolades, Keylor Navas was named the goalkeeper of the year while defender of the year was awarded to Sergio Ramos,Luka Modric made it double with the midfielder of the year and Cristiano Ronaldo did not go empty handed as he grabbed Forward of the year.
Womens UEFA awards were also on plate as Pernille Harder of Wolfsburg and Denmark won the prestigius woman`s player of the year as well as the 2018/19 UEFA Champions league draw took the center stage on the same occasion.
