NALEDI MARAPE:INSPIRATION TO A GIRL CHILD

The dominant chess player Naledi Marape scooped the Outstanding  Female Athlete Of The Year yesterday at the 41st Botswana Sports Awards held at Baisago Convention Centre.
Upon receiving the award Naledi thanked and expressed special thanks to his father for the support he gives her throughout her career.
She said she was excited that she won the award though she did not expect it.
“I’m very excited, I didn’t expect it,” said Naledi.
Marape further said winning the award at she believes that she will be an inspiration to young girls in sports.
“After winning this award I believe I’m an inspiration to young sports girls who want to succeed in sports” Marape said.
She encouraged the girls to ignore all the gender boundaries set on them and that they were not as good as men.
