Led by the mentorship of former football wizard, Pontsho Moloi as their interim coach, GU this weekend put a statement to the world after they knocked out a jubilant Orapa United at their home ground in the Orange FA Cup last 16 on penalties.

A good combination of Thatayaone Kgamanyane,Obonwe Maome and Lesego Galenamotlhale is making Gaborone United opponents have sleepless nights, the boys brought it again in Orapa like they did two weeks back when they destroyed Township Rollers in a league game.

Talking after the game, the interim coach, believes that all the hard work put by his players is now paying off and more of this destruction is yet to come

“Like I always say, we take each game seriously,said Moloi”.

Kgamanyane alluded that their only target this season is to improve from last season performance which they ended in the Mascom top 8 final.

“Our focus is on the FA Cup and challenge for the league as we are 5 points from the pole position,said Kgamanyane”.

Gaborone United will continue its mission of destruction this midweek as the BTC premiership resumes, they will take on Prisons XI which is 4 points behind them, at the national stadium.
