GABORONE:France Mabiletsa emerged a victor in the glitz and glamour Debswana Boxing Awards hosted at Fairgrounds,Boipuso Hall on September 8,2018.
The Ub/Tsholofelo Boxing Stable boss envisions to produce medal award winning Olympic boxers throughout his reign.
Mabiletsa who is said to be an active participant of all Botswana Boxing Association(BOBA) general meetings including the strategic workshops was praised for his gratitude of hosting the controversial 2017 National Championship in times of turmoil at BOBA.Mabiletsa also took the award of the affiliate of the year for Tsholofelo Boxing.
Tsholofelo Boxing has over the years been envied for its contribution to women boxing, other effective contributions to BOBA activities and most recognizably winning the recent Championship.
Still under the guidance of Mabiletsa,his head coach Lechezhani “Master” Luza unanimous scooped the best boxing mentor trophy and the boxing queen Aratwa Kaseemang won the prestigious award of the evening,the female boxer of the year.
Mabiletsa who spoke with pride says that they want to see their boxers representing the country at each and every Olympic games.

In other prestigious awards,Rajab Otukile Mohammed bagged home the male boxer of the year award.Rajab who seemed cool says he is not happy with his 2017 boxing calendar year.He believes with more input from Debswana contribution to the sport he could have done much better.He technically believes that abroad judges were all against his craft.Aratwa who is off the ring injured till next year,encouraged girl child to join the sport as it has contributed to her personal development.
Debswana/BOBA Boxing Awards are proudly sponsored by Debswana Mining Company to a tune of P250 000 from initial P50 000.The ultimate price award is P10 000.
