Golden carpet was rolled for the glamour boys of the French nation after mesmerizing display of quality football as Didier Deschamp boys past cruised the much determined Croatians 4-2 at the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow, Russia.  

Croatians came a determined team winning the battle in the middle of the park which gave them space to exploit the French defense even though it didn’t pay dividends as in the 18 minutes Mandzukic had other plans as he struck in an own goal from Griezmann free kick, that was not anything to go by in a moment as Perisic made sure he pulls one back on the 28 minute before France takes charge again on the 38 minute from a Griezmann penalty.

The second half was still much similar to the first as Croatia continued to have most of the ball but with less scoring chances as in the 59 minute the sensational Pogba made it 3-1 then later the young phenomenal Mbappe settled things with a long range short outside the 18 yard to make it 4-1, before Mandzukic made it clear that he scores from both sides as slotting one from a Hugo Lloris mistake to end the game at 4-2.

It was crystal clear that France will win if history is anything to go by after Griezmann scored as it states France never lost a game when Griezmann is on the score sheet.

France made third appearance in the world cup final after 1998 success in their home soil and Germany 2006 where they lost to Italy in penalties.

French coach,Didier Deschamp secured his second world cup goal medal after 1998 success and made sure that he is the third to win a world cup as a player and a coach after likes of frank Beckenbauer of Germany.

French success goes to show that Europe still dominates the world cup after the success of Italy in 2006, Spain 2010 and Germany 2014.
