BY:Kabelo Seleka

Debswana First Division South results are off to a dream start for some teams which managed to collect maximum points as the season kick started this Saturday afternoon.

At SSG grounds BroadHurst United(BU) welcomed the on form Jwaneng Fighters on a cloudy day which allowed for a high tempo game where both teams managed to secure a point after the game ended in a 1 all draw.

The match started with some sparks of fire ignited by the home team BU as they were the better team showing signs of hunger with an early goal mindset.

However Boitumelo Mafoko’s experience came in handy as Fighters were able to absorb the pressure.Fighters make some adjustment heading into the break as they started to become a better team. The match went to the break at 0-0.

In the 48th minute of the  second half,Fighters coach introduced his first substitute Lapologang Motlogi for Tshiamo Moreetsi in an effort to continue pilling the pressure on the home team.

Fighters managed to get a goal from Goarona Bagale.

On the other hand,a double subtitution by BU bench saw Ofentse Bok and Tiroyaone Baepi who was down on the day was replaced by Katlego Makhala.

Makhala had an immediate impact by setting up his mates to force a corner which eventually resulted in a quick equalizer by team captain and striker Thatayaone Ndlovu in the 59th minute. The other sub was Mbase Ngakaetsile.

Coach of the visiting team Fighters,Andrew Tlou says he aspires to win all his game.Tlou hopes to minimally get a draw in order to attain automatic promotion to the premier league.

On his impression of the game the coach aluded that their teams  do not prepare well for the season.

“we dont do pre season training ,that really kills us because the first game, the second and the third game yabo ele pre season game we will start playing and showing our colors from the fourth and fifth game”notes Tlou.

BU mentor Moseki urged the management of his club to review the incentives to players.

Moseki also decreed the low turnout of the fans stressing that the management should organize transport for their supporters. He believes the move can help them gain promotion to the elite league with the 12th man.

“ntate gore re dropele kogo bo number 4,kegore hare tsweletse ketsone dikgwetlo tse eleng gore ketla bua le management gore kedi hedise”said Moseki.

As in Tlokweng, home side Black Peril went off to a good start with Blue Stars at the VDC ground after a 2-1 victory.

Underdogs Tsabong Black Rangers and Mochudi Rovers shared the spoils after a lovely draw.
