CAPTAIN MMUSI TSWIIGI(30) DROPPED FROM THE NATIONAL TEAM

Botswana’s top pugilist Mmusi Tswiigi has been dropped from boxing national team ahead of Commonwealth qualifiers,the games will be staged rom the 29th of July 2022.

It is said that the experienced national champion was dropped from the national team due to “age” by the BOBA Executive Committee according to the insiders at the boxing authority .

The Prisons Boxing Club and national team captain has been dominating local boxing scenes since he rose to stardom in 2013,becoming “the Mmusi Tswiigi he is today”. He went on to become Zone IV Boxing Champion in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

The 30 year old 2019 Zone IV boxing champion declined to comment but rather referred this publication to the boxing motherbody.Meanwhile,Botswana Boxing Association (BOBA) could not be reached at the time of press.

The oldest known boxer to compete and win gold at the Olympics successfully was Richard Kenneth Gunn at London 1908 at the age of 37.
