Botswana Volleyball Federation(BVF) launched Television rights with the exclusive broadcaster Baboneng Film Production announcing that it will give 50% profit to the federation for filming volleyball action in Botswana for Maru Sport TV at BNSC warmup arena on Wednesday 15 2018.
BVF has given Baboneng Film exclusive rights to record all volleyball activities,BVF also poses the rights to broadcast and distribute the material of Botswana Volleyball,BVF also agreed to give Baboneng air broadcast which includes cable and internet streams.
BVF also added on contract to engage any broadcast station on Volleyball talk.Anything mobile will be under the authority of Baboneng.
Making his presentation,Baboneng Film Boss Mr Kesebonye Seabelo says that as a production company they are giving different sporting codes an opportunity to feature on Tv including Volleyball.
“we want to give our different sporting codes an opportunity for Tv since the state media is congested with limited resources,we are not coming here as competitor to Botswana Television but as partners.”said Seabelo
Seabelo says that the TV opportunity will help grow the sport also in turn helping growing the business sector as advertisers will be visible to the audience.
He continued to elaborate that local athletes and administrators will have an opportunity to be appreciated for their dedicated work to the sport of Volleyball.
Seabelo noted that athletes will up their standards since they know that they will be on the lens.
Seabelo says that he aspires and envision the local sports to be self funding through broadcasting instead of relying on government give outs.
In his acceptance speech,the president of BVF Daniel Molaodi says that the partnership of this magnitude is a long term investment.
“we are comfortable and confident that if we get our colors right if both of us to our work commit to this partnership,for us is a long term investment, the future will be bright”
Baboneng Film Production has already filmed volleyball action at Molepolole for week 1 which will be visible on the lens of Maru Sport Tv before the end on the week.
