A WIN AGAINST ROLLERS MEANS NOTHING-DA COSTA

GABORONE:Jwaneng Galaxy FC head coach Miguel Da Costa Duater says his team tactically drunk matched Township Rollers in a 3-1 away win yesterday at the National Stadium as the win really meant nothing but business as usual according to Da Costa.
An ignition of heavy downfalls of BTC Premiership week 16 action was on Friday as the then second positioned Orapa United registered a 2 nil loss on a new year against the struggling Prisons ix.
The away side Security Systems won by a goal to nil against Notwane FC, Police IX won a three goal thriller by 2 goals to nil of that of BR Highlanders.
In a highly anticipated matchup of the weekend,Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Extension Gunners lived up to spectators expectations as the showcased category A performance to play to a 2 all draw.
BDF XI ran rampant on the whipping Black Forest by dominantly winning by 3 goals to nil.Gaborone United and Sankoyo Bush Bucks played to a fair 1 all draw.
For possibly the game of the week, the home side Rollers partnered Joel Mogorosi and Tumisang Orebonye upfront and introduced Edwin Moalosi who came from a long layoff injury with Segolame Boy nearby the water cooler box.
For Galaxy Thero Setsile was played upfront with the onform Patrick Kaunda while Kutlwano Mpolokang and Tebogo Sebowa started from the bench.
Few minutes after the birth of the game,Orebonye missed one on one goal opportunity against Ezekiel Morake after a worldclass buildup to the left flank by Mothusi Cooper whom found Galabye Moyana, only for Orebonye to waste the opportunity to Morake`s hands.
Few minutes later Kaunda failed to control the ball to evenly miss a leading opportunity before Mogorosi’s 23rd minutes shot blockage by Morake one on one.The experience of Mogorosi proved futile as he laid back the ball on the 28th minute to set up Edwin Moalosi to finish Morake with an award winning shot to put Popa on the lead.
Two goal hero for Galaxy Atisang Batsi easily found the net to equalize after a soothing left cross from Kaunda who found him unmarked in the 16 yard area.Batsi easily controlled the ball to slot it home to force the game to the halftime with 1 all score.
In the second half of the match coaches did some tactical changes as Da Costa brought Setsile to the left back.Few minutes into the last half man of the match performer Captain Olebogeng Malebye put Galaxy on the lead.
The connection between Kaunda and Batsi proved to be too hot for the Rollers defence as another roundup by Kaunda ended in a low cross assist to Batsi who simply stepped into the net with the ball to win Galaxy the game by 3-1.
Da Costa says they were the best team on the day.
“the best team on the pitch is not the one who creates more opportunities, there is a lot to look on the tactical movement and everything”alludes Da Costa.
The Coach further said the win means nothing but another 3 points on the bag.
For his part,Thabo Motang says Joel and Orebonye combo upfront can just play well.
“its only that today they have not being doing well”laments Motang
A 3-1 win by Galaxy closed the gap between the log leaders and defending champions Popa popa by only 4 points whom are on 36 points after 16 games while Galaxy is on equal with Orapa having an edge over them with plus 10 goal difference to place them on the second position of the BTC Premiership 2018/2019 season log standings.
