BOTESSA,A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

BY:Tsholofelo  Lekoba

BOTESSA championship games are expected to curb negative behavior of all students taking part in all the sporting codes.

As this championships are mainly for varsity students, they will all be busy and concentrating on winning the championships.

All the participants were adviced to stay away from drugs during the official opening at UB stadium. Drugs ruin the youth of this country and the mandate of these competitions are to give students something to focus on instead of being involved in unlawful practices.

BOTESSA’s Acting President Keorapetse Setlhare adviced students to take these sports seriously as they play an important role in shaping their lives.

“I salute BOTESSA for this games as they will make Botswana an alcohol free nation.”

“In this way the economy will bloom and young people will develop themselves sports wise.” Setlhare added.

The President of FASU Dr Malumbete Ralethe added that there would not be free time for the participants as the games are held over the weekend and sunday all the participating personnel are expected to head back to their institutions.

The BNSC Sports Director Bobby Gaseitsewe also talked about how sports will improve and grow our economy. He said that sports will turn around the nation.

Through sports we will make a better Botswana, better Africa and a better globe.
